Privacy Policy

Last updated July 22, 2026

Your case never leaves your phone. TenantShield is a self-help tool for tenants responding to an eviction. It does not have servers that store your information, and it does not collect or transmit your case data.

What we collect

Nothing that leaves your device. Everything you enter — your court details, your answers, the photos and files you attach as evidence, and the Answer packet you generate — is stored only on your phone. It is not uploaded to us or to anyone else. TenantShield makes no network requests to run its core flow; it works offline.

What we do not do

  • No account is required, and we do not ask for your name, email, or phone number.
  • We do not sell, rent, or share your information — there is nothing to sell, because we do not have it.
  • No advertising and no third-party trackers.
  • We do not use your information to train any AI model.

The documents you create

When you generate your Answer packet, the app creates a PDF on your device and opens your phone’s standard share sheet so you can save, print, or send it yourself. What you do with that PDF is your choice, handled by your phone’s own software, not by us.

Evidence you attach

Photos and files you attach stay on your device as part of your case. They are never uploaded to us.

Deleting your information

Because your case lives only on your device, you control it completely. Delete the app, or clear your case within it, and the information is gone. We hold no copy to delete, because we never had one.

If this changes

If a future version adds a feature that needs to send data off your device (for example, an optional cloud backup or an online case-law lookup), we will update this policy first, tell you clearly in the app, and make it something you choose to turn on — never the default.

Children

TenantShield is intended for adults dealing with a housing matter and is not directed to children under 13.
